My portfolio has grown considerably after a sobering stock year 2018. At the end of March the portfolio has reached an all-time high of 29,039.54 €. This means an increase of about 29.5% (+ 6,613.63 EUR) in comparison to the value at the end of the 4th quarter 2018 in December (22,425.91 €). All shares developed positive, even shares without recent acquisitions such as the ComStage F.A.Z. Index or the COMSTAGE-S&P 500. However, especially shares with monthly purchases increased tremendously in value. In the first place the ComStage MSCI World (increase of 63.4% with new purchases) as well as the ComStage STOXX Europe 600 (increase of 57.2% with new purchases).

Besides an increase of the market price for all shares, three ETFs are still in a quite negative range, including the ComStage F.A.Z. Index, the ComStage Europe Small Cap, and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets. Considering the overall performance without dividends, my portfolio is still in a negative range with -0.35% (-11.44% end of December 2018). Including the dividends my portfolio already yields a profit with a positive value of 1.05% (-9.94% end of December 2018).
Savings, purchases and sales (1st quarter 2019)
During the first quarter in 2019 there have been numerous changes in purchases and saving plans for ETFs. The plan is, starting from February 2019, that based on new fees and strategy simplification, only three different saving plans will be executed. That includes the ComStage MSCI World, the ComStage STOXX Europe 600 (on 5th day of each month) as well as the Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield (on 20th day of each month). As a result, the following stocks and funds were purchased within the first quarter of 2019.
January 19 | ComStage iBoxx Liquid Sovereigns Diversified 5-7 TR | 0.602 shares | per 166.22 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
January 19 | ComStage MSCI Emerging Markets TRN | 5.308 shares | per 37.68 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
January 19 February 19 March 19 | ComStage MSCI World TRN | 7.467 shares 7.974 shares 7.7 shares | per 46.78 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 50.16 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 51.95 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
January 19 February 19 March 19 | ComStage STOXX Europe 600 NR | 3.547 shares 5.382 shares 5.174 shares | per 70.48 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 74.32 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 77.31 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
January 19 February 19 March 19 | Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield | 8.686 shares 8.368 shares 8.199 shares | per 46.05 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 47.80 € (incl 1.5 € fee) per 48.79 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
The cash asset on the reference account reached on all-time high of 13,134.6 EUR, which is a plus of 3,529.26 EUR. Furthermore, also the reference account 2, which is defined for my private retirement provision got 103 EUR per month. In January an old saving plan was executed. Consequently 0.917 shares of the so-called Vermögensstrategie („wealth strategy“) were purchased.
January 19 | ComStage Vermögensstrategie | 0.917 shares | per 112.32 € (incl 1.5 € fee) |
Dividend payments
The only dividends in the first quarter of 2019 were payed by the Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield in January. This is in increase of infinite, because in 2018 I got no dividends at all in the first quarter. Taking the amount of 31.64 EUR, we get a monthly passive income of just 2.64 €. This low value isn’t surprising, because most of my ETFs are paying their dividends, if distributing, in August. However, the 2.64 € is at least sufficient for an icecream each month for free. 😉
Vanguard FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield | 31,64 € (+/- infinite) 0,00 € in first quarter of 2018 |
Miscellaneous
The first quarter in 2019 went well. Both the respective revenues and the stock market prices were satisfying and my portfolio developed accordingly well. It is the first summary of a quarter in English for this blog. If you like it, please leave a comment, like or share this post. I hope your portfolio also developed well.
